* Ingredients: lotus root slices, vinegar, a little salt
* Seasoning: water, a little cooking oil, soy sauce, sugar, corn syrup, mirin, sesame seeds
1. Put the lotus root in a pot with enough water to cover the ingredients, add vinegar, and blanch for about 2 minutes. (This is to remove the bitter taste and browning.)
2. Pour out only the water from the strainer.
3. Mix the prepared seasoning.
4. Put the lotus root and seasoning sauce in a pot and boil over high heat. Once the water has reduced to some extent, turn the heat to medium and simmer.
5. When it is almost cooked, add the corn syrup to give it a glossy finish.
6. Just sprinkle some sesame seeds on top to finish.
