We have prepared some fun, round, soft, and chewy rice cakes.
Jorang-i-tteok originated in the Gaeseong region and is said to have been made into tteokguk (rice cake soup) and eaten on New Year's Day because it symbolizes longevity.
It is simple and rich in flavor with only minimal refined salt. If possible, do not defrost naturally, but wash in running water, drain, and then cook.

Using only domestically produced glutinous rice and salt grown and cultivated in our land, it is pounded twice over a long period of time, resulting in an exquisite soft texture and rich flavor.
Kids love it because it is bite-sized and has a cute and adorable shape. It is aged at low temperatures for 24 hours so it doesn't get soft or spread easily.
